Mrs. Megan started her dance training at the age of 4 in Durham, North Carolina under the instruction of Sharon Bullock at Dance Arts Unlimited.  There she was trained in ballet, jazz. lyrical, pointe and tap.  During this time she traveled around the country winning awards regionally and nationally and in 1994 won the title of Junior Miss Dance of North Carolina through Carolina Dance Masters.  At the age of 11 she had the opportunity to appear and compete on the nationally known television show "Star Search". 

Ms. Megan graduated from East Carolina University in 2003 with a B.F.A. in Dance Performance. While at ECU she performed in the faculty directed musical "South Pacific", with the ECU Performing Company, and in 2001 performed at Jazz Dance World Congress in Chicago, Illinois.

Upon graduation she moved to Los Angeles, California, and trained in jazz and lyrical under Darryl Retter and Linda Bernabei-Retter and was also a member of their Pro Dance Company. At that time she had the opportunity of performing in such events as Spectrum Dance and the Keith Clifton Dance Project. Upon returning to North Carolina in 2004, Ms. Megan taught Dance and Drama at Daniels Middle School in Raleigh , and then taught full time at the Triangle Academy of Dance.

Mrs. Megan joined the Triangle Academy of Dance staff in 2004 and directs and teaches the jazz program and jazz competitive dance teams.
